The environmental license of the hazardous waste storage facility shall be granted for a period of five years, renewable by a decision of the Minister of Environment. This is done in accordance to the legal and regulatory provisions pertaining to industrial establishmentys and establishments deemed dangerous and harmful to public health and that cause disturbance (classified establishments).

In case the facility wishes to amend the design of its storage in a way that affects the operating conditions of the facility, on the basis of which the environmental license has been granted, the owner of this license shall inform the Ministry of Environment about the amendments before making them. The ministry, then, conducts an inspection, accordingly it has to inform the owner, in writing, its consent or to introduce amendments to the license or to cancel it.
