Keep scanned legislation with its Gazette issue

Scanned texts gain an issue-level publication route as well as their individual document pages.

The reader’s problem

A law page is easier to verify when its publication reference leads to the issue that carried it.

What changed

The Gazette-issue work connected scanned legislation to issue records, using the Centre's issue when available and a scan-based issue record where needed. It also normalised equivalent issue-number spellings to avoid duplicate entries.

Using the feature

Open the Gazette record to see the texts associated with that issue, then follow an individual document and its scan notice. This provides a publication-oriented route into recent material, complementing search by law number, year or subject.

Reading the evidence

An issue record reflects the material represented in the library. It is not an assurance that every page or item in the official issue has been captured. Check the publication reference and the underlying scans when a complete issue or a specific page is required for your research.
