An open-source starter for local legal services

A public MIT-licensed starter documents a local database, API and MCP setup with configurable services.

The reader’s problem

The public service starter makes the local deployment route inspectable.

What changed

It includes source code, configuration examples and documentation for a PostgreSQL database, HTTP API and MCP server. Developers can study how the services fit together and adapt the configuration to their own environment.

Using the feature

Read the setup guide before starting the stack. The database workflow expects a published release manifest or a prepared local snapshot. At the 30 October availability check, the first public restore manifest remained pending, so a default fresh download could not be represented as a validated end-to-end installation.

Reading the evidence

The service code is MIT licensed. The documents and dataset have their own source and rights information, which remains relevant when copying or redistributing legal records. This milestone concerns the public source and deployment instructions. The container images, their architectures and release status are described in a separate article.
