Make the source and reuse terms visible

The library documents attribution and rights separately from the software used to serve it.

The reader’s problem

Free access to a legal website does not answer every question about reusing its contents.

What changed

The October source and rights work added explicit credit and licence information to the database page. It distinguished the documents from the software that stores, searches and presents them.

Using the feature

Read the source policy and dataset card before republishing a collection or building a product on it. Keep the Centre's attribution and the original references with extracted records. A file format that is easy to download does not remove the need to check the rights of the material inside it.

Reading the evidence

Lebanese Legislation is an independent library. Its publication does not imply endorsement by a university, court, lawyer or law firm. Showing that boundary beside the data helps readers understand both what they can inspect and what the service does not certify.
