We pay students to study with the site, instead of buying ads

Current law and political science students at Lebanese universities get $10 for every week they study with Lebanese Legislation and tell us what is wrong. The money we would have spent on ads goes to them.

Apply on LinkedIn

Why students, and why not ads.

A free public library is only useful if people use it and it is right. Ads would bring visits. Students bring visits and corrections: they read these texts every week for their exams, and they notice when an article is missing, a date is wrong or a search finds nothing. So the budget we had for ads goes to them.

What we ask.

Use the site when you study, at least 2 days a week. Tell us when something is wrong, missing or hard to use. Fill in a 10-minute feedback form once a month. Be honest: what is bad helps us more than what is good.

What we pay.

$10 for every week you study with it, paid monthly. Errors you report carry your name on that law, linked to your LinkedIn profile, and you get a public contributor profile you can put on your CV. The program runs until March 2027.

Who can apply.

Students currently enrolled in law or political science at a Lebanese university, in any year, who study Lebanese law in Arabic. Graduates and professionals cannot apply to this one. Intake is rolling: apply on LinkedIn at any time and we reply within a week. If you are picked, we ask for your student ID or university email.

Independent, and open.

Lebanese Legislation is an independent project by Taktek. It is not affiliated with the Lebanese University, any other university or any government body. The texts come from the Lebanese University's Centre for Research and Studies in Legal Informatics, every page links to the Centre's record, and the code and data are public on GitHub and Hugging Face.
