The reader’s problem
On 21 October, Arabic became the default language at the library's main address.
What changed
The English interface moved under /en/. This aligned the first visit with the language of most of the source material while retaining an English route for readers discovering Lebanese legal records from abroad or through English searches.
Using the feature
Use the language switch to move between versions of a page. The surrounding labels and explanations change, while the legal text retains its source language. English titles remain discovery aids, separately labelled from official wording.
Reading the evidence
Changing the default also required consistent page addresses, language links and redirects. Older Arabic addresses can lead to the current page. When sharing a citation, use the final document address rather than a search result or an old interface path, and include the legal citation itself for clarity.
