English titles help you find the Arabic source

On 21 October 2026, unofficial English titles added another route into the collection. The Arabic source remains the reference for checking the wording.

An aid to discovery

An English-speaking researcher may know the subject of a Lebanese text without knowing its Arabic title. Unofficial English titles make that first step easier. The 21 October work added these titles as a discovery aid and marked their status explicitly.

What an English title can tell you

A translated title can help identify a likely document and make a result easier to scan. It cannot carry the full meaning of an article, an exception or a later amendment. Open the text and check its number, date and publication reference before deciding that it answers your question.

Keep translation separate from authority

The English aid is not an official translation and does not replace the Arabic wording. A machine-generated rendering may choose an imperfect legal term. Quote the underlying source when precision matters, and identify any translation as a translation. A bilingual interface does not make every source document bilingual.

Where to start

Use the English interface to browse legislation or enter a known title. Switch to the Arabic page to check the source wording. The published dataset identifies unofficial translated titles separately from the underlying text. Preserve that distinction when exporting a record or displaying the title in another application.
