The reader’s problem
A plausible result can be misleading when it shares a number with a missing text.
What changed
The missing-citation change made that distinction explicit. If search cannot find the cited number and date, it can say so and list same-number records from other dates as alternatives to inspect.
Using the feature
Read the notice before opening a nearby result. It explains why a text appeared and what failed to match. A result from another year may help identify a mistaken citation, but it does not replace the requested record or prove that the citation itself is wrong.
Reading the evidence
This is a more informative response to a gap in the catalogue. It preserves the difference between absence from this library and absence from Lebanese law. Check the source publication or another reliable source when the exact record is needed, and keep its full date with the number.
