Start with a topic, then follow the legal text

Topic guides offer another entry point into the library, with links back to the provisions discussed.

The reader’s problem

People often arrive with a subject rather than a law number.

What changed

Topic guides added explanations organised around practical legal themes, giving readers a route from a familiar question to the relevant texts. The first group was reviewed and rewritten in October, with further guides added as the collection developed.

Using the feature

Read a guide to orient your search, then follow its article references. The links matter because an explanation may simplify a rule whose conditions and exceptions sit in the original provision. English explanations are unofficial aids; they do not replace the Arabic source.

Reading the evidence

A topic guide is not individual legal advice or an assurance that every related rule is covered. Check dates, amendments and the particular provision before applying it. The guides complement citation search and code browsing, especially when a reader does not yet know which document to open.
