تعلن وزارة البريد والمواصلات السلكية واللاسلكية عن نقل مشتركي سنترال جب جنين وعددهم 750 مشترك من سنترال MT25 الى السنترال الجديد نوع AXE مع تغيير اول رقم من اليسار من (9) الى (6) بحيث تصبح مجموعة ارقامهم ضمن المجموعة المخصصة للسنترال من 660000 الى 660999 بدلا من المجموعة 960000 - 960999 . وتلفت الوزارة نظر المشتركين الذين يتم نقلهم الى السنترالات الحديثة بانه يمكنهم تحويل اجهزة الهاتف التي لديهم لتعمل بطريقة Tone بدل Pulse مما يؤدي الى تسريع عملية وصل المخابرة. بيروت فى 26 آب 1999 وزير البريد والمواصلات السلكية واللاسلكية عصام نعمان
