بناء على المرسوم رقم 1573 الصادر في 17 تموز سنة 1944 يحدد عدد رجال السير في الدرك اللبناني بمائة دركي يتقاضى كل منهم تعويضا شهريا مقطوعا قدره مائتان وخمسون غرشا لبنانيا ان وزيري المالية والداخلية مكلفان كل فيما يختص به تنفيذ احكام هذا المرسوم اعتبارا من اول كانون الثاني سنة 1944
