بناء على المرسوم رقم 6898 المؤرخ في 9 تموز سنة 1930 انشئت بلدية مؤلفة من قرى برج البراجنة والليلكيه والتحويطه والمرجه يطلق عليها اسم بلدية (برج البراجنة) ويكون مركزها في قرية برج البراجنة يصير تعيين منطقة حدود هذه البلدية من قبل وزارة الاشغال العامة وفقا لاحكام المادة 12 من القرار 1208
