المادة 297
(عدلت بموجب قانون 239/1993 )
كل لبناني يذيع في الخارج وهو على بينة من الامر انباء كاذبة او مبالغً فيها من شأنها ان تنال من هيبة الدولة او من مكانتها المالية يعاقب بالحبس ستة اشهر على الاقل وبغرامة تراوح بين مئة الف ليرة ومليون ليرة, ويمكن المحكمة ان تقضي بنشر الحكم.

المادة 15- تعدل الغرامة الورادة في المادة 297 على النحو الآتي:
"وبغرامة تراوح بين مئة الف ليرة ومليون ليرة" بدلا من "وبغرامة تراوح بين 500 ليرة و5000 ليرة".
