المادة 296
يستحق العقوبة نفسها من نقل في لبنان في الاحوال عينها انباء يعرف انها كاذبة او مبالغ فيها من شأنها ان توهن نفسية الامة, اذا كان الفاعل يحسب هذه الانباء صحيحة فعقوبته الحبس ثلاثة اشهر على الاقل.
Art. 296: Subira la meme peine quiconque, dans les memes circonstances colportera au liban des nouvelles qu'il savait etre fausses ou exagerees, susceptibles d'affecter le moral de la nation.
si l'agent tenait ces nouvelles pour vraies, il sera puni de la peine d'emlprisonnement pour une duree de trois mois au moins.
