Article 12 sets a 300 m distance from the nearest existing pharmacy, measured by the shortest road route using the door midpoints and road axis. Pharmacies existing before Law 635 of 23/4/1997 are exempt from the 300 m condition if at least 200 m from the nearest pharmacy by the nearest road; Law 635/1997 is not in the database. Article 19 permits a company only if it consists of licensed Lebanese pharmacists, at least one has a pharmacy licence, and none has another pharmacy or interest. Any agreement giving a non-pharmacist a share in a pharmacy or its profits is absolutely void, and creditors may not take part in managing it.
